Our Story

A Community Dream

 

Afro-Center Serbia was founded in 2021 by a passionate group of Afro-citizens residing in the Republic of Serbia. They recognized the pressing need for a vibrant space where individuals from various African cultures could come together to share, celebrate, and preserve their rich traditions and customs. In 2023, Afro-Center Serbia proudly became part of the NAM Global Group, further enhancing its capacity to foster cultural connections and community development.

We take immense pride in the positive impact we have made within the local community, cultivating understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures. Our center is a welcoming environment where people from all backgrounds can gather, connect, and celebrate the beauty of cultural diversity.

Over the years, Afro-Center Serbia has transformed from a modest community center into a thriving hub of cultural activity. Our extensive array of programs and events—including workshops, performances, art exhibitions, and culinary experiences—draws visitors from across the region, creating a dynamic platform for cultural exchange and engagement. We are dedicated to nurturing creativity, fostering dialogue, and promoting the richness of African heritage while encouraging collaboration and connection among all community members. Through our efforts, we continue to build bridges of understanding and solidarity, celebrating the vibrant tapestry of cultures that enrich our society

What we do ?

The center is dedicated to enhancing the capacity of the national economy and fostering international business collaboration between African nations, Serbia, and neighboring countries. Our goal is to cultivate strong business connections that accelerate growth and development, providing comprehensive support throughout this process while harnessing the full potential of the market.

Founded in 2021 as an Afro association, the Afro-Center transitioned to a profit organization in 2022, gaining recognition as a center committed to contributing positively to societal values and the economy. We aim to unite African, Serbian, and regional markets, promoting corporate social responsibility, international collaboration, and investment while celebrating the uniqueness of diverse cultures.

Our mission is to strengthen shared interests through the launch of projects, knowledge exchange, and the sharing of technology, alongside fostering cultural connections.
